For 10+ years I was at Rhythm & Hues Studios — the Oscar-winning VFX and animation studio behind Life of Pi, The Golden Compass, Night at the Museum, Superman Returns, The Mummy, The Fast and the Furious, and many more internationally acclaimed films. There I served as Lead VFX Modeller, Senior Technical Director, and Digital Concept Sculptor. After Rhythm & Hues, I went on to direct a Marathi feature film that released theatrically across Maharashtra. 25+ years in animation, VFX, and filmmaking total. But the last 18 months have been the most important months of my life.

When AI exploded in early 2024, I felt the same confusion you're feeling now. Tried the tools. Looked at the output. Thought — "This is going to replace my craft." Frustration. But one thing was clear: rejecting AI gets you nowhere. AI has to be adopted — on the filmmaker's terms.
